A NEWSPAPER REPRESENTATIVE who recently visited the consulting rooms of Mr. F. Webb, Specialist and Herbalist, of this cky, gained som© idea of the widespread popularity of his method of successfully combating disease. On the cccasion mentioned, Mr. Webb's appropriately furnished rooms in Colombo street north were filled with patients, and tvory minute saw the number increasing. Fcona. the tone of the numerous tHuheiitic testimonials recerVed by Mr. Webb from parsons in almost every part of the colony, v.ho have been cured by his system of herbal and vegetable treatment, it appears that the cures effected have created a sensation i amongst those who have had'-them brought under their notice. In all over ! mno thousand' cases have been dealt with by th-3 system of treatment throughout New Zealand, and during the eighteen months Mr. Webb has Wen established in this city he has treated clcso upon fifteen hundred cases. One strong feature of his system is that it does away with the necessity for surgical operations in ■ a large number of cases where such operations are usually considered necessary. He has removed from the human body various growths, which are usually only removed by means oi operations. The esteem in which Mr. Webb is held by his patients in tlrs city was shown on Monday afternoon, when about one hundred patents and ex-patients waited on him and presorted him with an illuminated address and a gold medal. The address, which is artistically designed, and is signed by eighty-three persons who have been benefited by Mr. Webb's system of treatment, refers to Mr. Webb's skilful and valuable services performed in this city and district during the past twelve months. Of some of the cases dealt with the signatories deem it no exaggeration to .say that they border on tho miraculous; in some instances complaints of twenty years' standing have been cured, and in others he has been successful where nuadical practitioners have given them up as incurable.
