EGG-LAYING.

CHRISTCHUROH, October 30. The statement for the 26th week of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club's Egg-laying Competition at Lincoln College shows that 891 eggs were laid during the week, making a total to date of 16,241, an average of 428.4 per pen. The following stand highest for the week :-— H. Hawke, Silver Wyandottes, 33; H. Leger, White Wyandottes; 33; P. R. Preasants, Si'ver ■ Wyandofctes, 32; J. H. Shaw, Brown Leghorns, 31; E. Scott, Brown Leghorns, 31.- The highest totals too date are H. Hawke, Silver Wyandottes, 720; J. Marin, White Wyandottes. 610; A. N. Price, Buff Orpingtons, 559: J. H. Shaw^ Brown Leghorns, 558; R. E. M. Evans, Silver Wyandottes, 553; E. Wilder, Buff Orpingtons, 540; Mrs StudJMme, Anoonas, 532; A. H. Bristed, Buff Orpingtons, 529; A. Tyree, Black Orpingtons, 509.
