WELLINGTON, October 28. The Agricultural Committee reported this morning slbrongly recommending that the Department <be authorised to promote the cultivation of flax. The report stated^ moreover, that he did not feel justified, in recommending to prohibit the export of inferior flax.
A return tabled to-day estimates the cost of cutting noxious" weeds on native and Crown land and unoccupied reserves for one year at £213,645.
