SUCCESSFULLY COMBATING DISEASE. (Extract from the "Press," Christchurch). A NEWSPAPER REPRESENTATIVE who recently visited the consulting rooms of Mr. F. Webb, Specialist and Herbalist, of this city, gained some ider; of tho widespread popularity of his method of successfully combating disease. On the occasion mentioned, Mr. Webb's appropriately furnished rooms in Colombo street north were filled with patients, and every mraute saw the number increasing. From the tone of the numerous authentic testimonials received by Mr. Webb from parsons in almost every part of rite colony, v,ho*have been cured by his system of herbal and vegeii;U»lo treatment, it appeal's that the cores effect'sd have created a sensation amongst those who have had them brought under their notice. In all over inno thousand cases have been dealt with by t-h-3 system of treatment throughout New Zealand, and during, ■tho eighteen months Mr. Webb has I'von established in this city he has treated clcse upon fifteen hundred cases. One strong feature of his system is that it does away with the necessity for surgical operations in a largo number of cases whena such operations are usually considered necessary. He has removed from the human body various growths, which are usually only removed by means of operations. The esteem in whioh Mr. Webb is held by his patients in this city was shown on Monday afternoon, when about one hundred patients and ex-patients waited on him and presorted him with an illuminated address and a gold medal. The address, which is artistically designed, and is signed by eighty-three persons who have been benefited by Mr. Webb's system of treatmont, refers to Mr. Webb's skilful and valuable services performed in this city and district during the past twelve months. Of some c-if the cases dea ft with the signatories deem it no exaggeration to say that they border on the miraculous; in some instances complaints cf twenty years' standing havo been cured, and in others he has been successful where medical practitioners have given them up as incurable.
