DALGETY AND CO.'S REPORT.

Dalgety and Co., Limited, Wellington, have received the following cablegram from their London office, dated k'Oth instant :—

Tallow—Good to prime mutton : Since our last telegram higher by 3d to 6d per cwt. Other descriptions at par to 3d por cwt. higher.

Frozen Meat.—Market continues weak at a further decline. New Zealand crossbred mutton, lower by l-8d per lb. Lamb, lower by l-8d to id par lb. Frozen beef: Prices are firm. Ox hinds, 3£d to 3 5-8 d per lb. Fores, 2ld Butter.—Buyers are operating less freely. Copenhagen official quotation is 3 kroners (about 3s. 4d.) per cwt. lower. Total imports of butter into United Kingdom for week ending 14th instant, 74,000 cwt. Same period last year 59,000 cwt. More demand for unsalted than salted.
