DARING ROBBERY IN WELLINGTON.

WELLINGTON, October 24. A daring robbery was committed tonight in Willis street,' at about; seven o'clock. A man entered the, shop of Fruhauf and Co., pawnbrokers, and stole about £25G worth of jewellery. Fruhauf was seated in a room opening off the shop, and, hearing a movement, walked into the shop just in time to sea a young man laaye hurriedly. Fruhauf, not knowing of his loss, walked after the man, tyhd' bolted into the Eirpire Hotel. Ijktijrning to the shop. Fruhauf found that a clean sweep had been made of watches, ; chains, etc., from his window. 'Meanwhile the robber had passed tlirßugh the hotel into Victoria street, dropping a watch on tho way, and, though followed by two men, made his e&eftpe. The thief must have entered the shop, climbed over the counter, and gained access to the window by a small door which was not provided with a lock.
