At a. meeting of the Feilding Borough Council on Thursday evening it was decided to take steps to appoint a resident engineer at a salary of £300 por annum to take charge of all sewerage, water supply, and surface drainago works, and a committee, consisting oi the Mayor, Crs. Chamberlain, West, and the mover was appointed to consult Mr. Jickell, subject to permission from his Council, the Engineer of the Palmerston North Borough, as to a suitable appointment.
