FIRE AT ROTORUA RAILWAY STATION.

ROTORUA, October 23

The railway engine shed was burned down at ?• o'clock this morning. Two locomotives were partially destroyed. The alarm was given by a cleaner, but when he saw it the shed was in full blaze. The ti'affic was delayed in consequence. The stationmaster is trying to got an engine to enable mails and passerigers to bo sent away. ROTORUA, October 23. A special engine came up from Frankton. Junction, and left with the train for Auckland: at 12.29. The branch trains have been delayed to connect with it. The engines in the shed will bo unfit for use till taken to pieces and overhauled, as many of the parts are twisted.
