■Several local Bills passed their second readings and. Committee stages. At moon,; owing to the death of the Hon. J. T; Peacock, the Council adjourned until 5.30/ :.:■/ The Council resumed at 7.30. The 'Government Avances to Settlers Bill was put through its final stages. The debate was .resumed on the Workers' Dwellings; Bill, and the second reading agreed to, and the Bill referred to a Select'Cojnmittee, with instructions to. report -on-Tuesday. The jCouncii adjourned at 9.50 p.m. .till Monday afternoon.
