CRICKET.

The Wanganui Cricket Association wet last night in Messrs. Bullock arid Gurries office, when there \yer© pre« sent Messrs. John Watt (chair), Jas. Watt, Luxford, Atkinson, Kite, Burrctt, Richardson.'Howie, Gordon, Baniiistei*, Carrie, and Sykes. Tlio minutes of the last meeting were road and confirmed.

A letter was received from Mr. G. Weston, the Association delegate to tho Cricket Council, with regard to the proposed visit of an English eleven in tho 1905-7 season It was resolved that while the Association favoured tho visit of such a team, still an appeal for funds should not be made to tho public. It was decided to offer tho Now Zealand Cricket Council the whole'of the net proceeds of such a march, and to guarantee that such proceeds shall net be less than £150. •

A letter from the Borough Council with reference to Cook's Gardens was k'lt to the' secretary to answer. Tho sub-committee appointed for that purpose presented a set of proposed now rules for the Association. These were gone into in detail, and it waa resolved that the draft rules as altered l-o handed to the new Council as a basis for its constitution.

A deputation, consisting of Messrs. Varney, Nay lor, Henderson, and .Haas©, waited ou tho Association and asked on what terras a Technical School Club, formed mostly of very young players, would be admitted. After considerable discussion, it was decided that a fee of £10 for the current yoar would -be charged towards up-keep of tho ground. The club would be entitled to one delegate. With regard to the proposed new clubs, lists of members to form new clubs were laid before tho meeting, and' were accepted. Members to be notified and meetings to bo held at once. Tho meeting decided to accept tho offer of the late Wanganui C.C. to take over the material of the club and to pay its debts.
