AUCKLAND, 'October 16. A deputation of civil servants waited upon Sir Joseph Ward this afternoon to thank him for the introduction of the Civil Service Superannuation Bill, and to urge upon him the wish of all officers that the Bill should become, law this session. Sir Joseph replied that the measuire was a very necessary and important one, and he assured the deputation that he would use his best efforts to give effect to the washes of the officers by having the Act placed upon the Statute Book before the present Parliament dissolved.
