The King and Queen expressed to Sir Henry Jrving's family sincere sympathy. They considered that the death of such .a distinguished ornament was a great loss to the profession.
President Roosevelt cabled expressing great regret ac Sir Henry living's death.'
Many have .suggested that Sir Henry Irving should bo interred in Westminster Abbey. ;"* ■
