WELLINGTON WOOL AND SKIN SALES.
LEVIN AND CO.'S REPORT. Messrs. Levi'i and Co., Limited, re-
port:— We offered to-day 2600 skins, 500 hides, and a quantity of wool, horse hair, and*tallow. Prices for wool ruled on same level as last sale. We quote: Good erutchrngs 6|d to 7d, medium crutchings 6d to 6-^l, inferior s£d to Skins.—There is no change to report, all lots on the catalogue being cleared at full prices. We quote:—Merinos B^d to B£d, fine crossbreds B^d to 9d, coarse crossbreds B^d to B|d, dead skins 7d to 7|l. short wools 6£d to 7^d, lamb shins 8d to B£d, butchers' green from 7i to 8s 3d.
Tallow.—Casks 19s to 21s, tins 17s, tough fat 14s. Horse hair, Is 4d per lb., cow hair Bd. , , Hides.—An alteration in the method cf selling hides here was made to-day. Instead of the Hides being sold at per piece, they are in future to be sold by weight. Competition was good, and wo quote:—Ox hives 5d to s^d, cow hides 4d to sdi calf skins, 5d to 6^d.
