WANGANUI GOLF CLUB
The competition on Saturday was th-e last of the season in connection with the above club. It was held under bogey rules, and was for prizes kindly presented by the captain. The strong wind during the afternoon prevented any good performances being put up. The senior competition resulted in a tie between Harold and Barnard Brown, each being 3 down. The junior competition was won by Armour, who was 8 up, Vowles, who was 7 up, coming second. The following are some of the best scores:— SENIORS. Harold owe 6, 3 down; Barnard Brown rec. 7. 3 down; Hardwicke rec. 4, 4 down; Pater sou rec. 7, 4 down; Dalgety rec. 6, 5 down; Lomas rec. 6, 6 down: D'Arcy rec. 3, 6 down. JUNIORS. Armour owe 2, 8 up; Vowlas rec. 9, 7 up; Gray owe 2, 2 up; Macfarlane rec. 4, 1 down; Goodwin rec. 7, 1 down; Kissling scratch, 2 down.
