OTAGO.

Oats Gn\y small quantities have tieen arriving from tfoa country during ihe past week. There is good inquiry for shipment, but as the supply is only sufficient for local orders there is little business being done in this. line. Values for all sorts remain firm at late quotations. Wo quote: Prime milling Is lid to Is ll^d, good to best feed Is lOd to Is lid, medium and inferior Is 7d to ■Is 9£d per bushel (sacks extra). Wheat.—Except for choice lines there is little demand from millers. Tuscan "is most in request, and commands a •slightly better figure. Medium quality

is not inquired for, and any lines of this class for absolute sale must bequitted as fowl wheat. The latter is in short supply, and sells at prices on a par with medium milling. We quote: Prime milling, 3s 2d to 3s 4d; good do, 3s Id to 3s 2d; whole fowl wheat 2s lid to 3s; broken and damaged, 2s 6d to 2s lOd'per bushel (sacks extra). Potatoes.—During the past week arrivals have been lighter, and as more potatoes have been going into consumption stocks on hand have been reduced to some extent. This has tended to harden prices, and at our sale we sold several lots at a slight advance on late values. We quote: Best Derwents, £10 to £10 10s'; medium, £9 10s to £10; best white sorts, £8 10s to £9; others, £S os to £8 15s per ton (bags in). Chaff.—Consignments have been heavier of late, and at our sale we offered about 60 tons, most of which was of medium quality. Choice oaten sheaf still continues to move off at late values, but medium quality can only be quitted at reduced prices. Inferior and discoloured.lines are not wanted.^ We quote: Prime oaten sheaf, £3 7s 6d to £3 12s 6d; medium to good, £3 to £3 ss; inferior, £2 10s to £2 15s .per ton (bags extra). Straw.—All coming to hand meeib with ready sale. Wo quote: Prime oaten, 37s 6cl to 40s; wheaten, 32s Cd to 35s per ton (pressed).
