DUNEDIN, October 14. Tho weather was beautiful for the second day of the D.J.C. Spring Meet ing. The course was heavy after the recent rains. The attendance was fair. ±3593 10s. was put through the machine, making £7600 10s. for the meeting, as against £6323 last year. In the Shorts, the running of Crichton was inquired into. Rae, the jockey, explained that the horse did not shape well in the heavy going.
