Debility, Dyspepsia, LIVER TROUBLES 9 All Banished. Th« Oase of Mr. W. OORY. (BT A WXLMKOTOK BBPORTEB). By the noble self-sacrifice of oar colonis troopii in responding to the call to anno oi behalf of the mother country when tht j South African war wai declared we nowhavi experienced soldiers returning to the colonies whose insight into the modern methodi of conducting warfare should prove of greal assistance in imparting practical military knowledge to our volunteer forces. #New Zealanders,« Canadians, and Australian! hare proved themselves worthy foemen in every battlefield wherein ihey have been engaged, and the patience, intelligence, and foresight shown by them during the mauj interval* of scanty fare and other pnvationa have aroused the admiration oi seasoned old warriors whose campaigns are numerous. Their discipline and daring nava been highly eulogised by the officers undei whom they have served. At one time, owing to the deficiency of transport, the army had to perform much work that would otherwise have been done by horses and mule* After sleeping in wet clothes, and suffering the ravages of cold, hunger, and f»tigu6, besides drinking any water that could b« found, no wonder that such an appalling list of deaths occurred of those unfortunate* who failed to escape the prevailing diseases. The number of victims to enteric fever forms a dismal feature in the history of l-ha war, and it is sincerely hoped that every man who has recovered sufficiently to return to his home may soon enjoy the manly strength which he exhausted in upholding the honour and dignity of the British Empire. An incident which is worthy of th« reader's attention was supplied to our reporter by Mr. Frederick Cory, of Rixon Grore, Mount Victoria, Wellington. " lam informed that you were in delicata health some time back," hazarded the reporter. "I would like to know the par-, fciculars of same if you have no objections.! " •'I have not the slightest hesitation in giving publicity to my experience of sickness, as I consider I shall be discharging an obligation and a duty at the name time. It M about twelve years ago, I dare say. since I first became run down in health through extreme heat and overwork. I was, physitally and mentally worn-out, and my nervous system showed marked signs of my serious •tateof debility." ••Were you living in thia city at the time?" • ■ ■ ■ • t "No, I was rewdfag in Melbourne. I have travelled nearly all over the adjacent colonies, however/and <[ consider that the sudden changes of we&ther in some parts have had a great deal to do with bringing on my attacks of debility, dyspepsia, and liver troubles. My appetite fell off completely, and I slept very poorly, I was aiso troubied with indigestion. I felt tired and fatigued, with a great disinclination for exertion of any kind. During the progre** of those twelve years I have taken a lot bJ physic of various kinds, with the result that I am convinced there is no medicine to compare %'ith Giements Tonic. I forget exactly how I came to start taking it, but when I did commence it was not long before I felt that I was in possession of a very valuable medicine at last.*' •• How did Clements Tonic act with you t" " Unlike all the other so-called remedies I had been taking. I found that after taking a few doges of Clements Tonic I was able I to sleep soundly and well, and my whoto ; •ystem gradually* underwent a change for the better. The recuperative properties ol Clements Tonic acted in a'remarkable man- ] ncr on my system, which was toned •nd braced1 up once more. By degrees my j appetite assumed its normal proportions, and I was thus enabled to regain my 1ob» flesh. X lost all trace of indigestion, and the fearful headaches rrom which" I" used to ! ■uffer now departed. The disappearance of all my distressing symptoms was only a matter of time with Clement* Tonic, whicfc restored*me to a first-class condition at health and strength. " Hive you used any medicine since? " Only on * few occasions during the ex •essively warm summer months, when I tak* some Clements Tonic to keep me in order. I always found Clements Tonic t*faithfu friend, therefore you are at liberty to pub Ibh my testimony in any way you lik*> DON'T FOKGET BRUCE'S FOLDING njRKISH BATH CABINETS.
