OTAGO A. AND P. SHOW.
Per Press Association,
DU'NEDIN, November 27. People's Day at the A. and P. Society's Show was a great success. The 'weather was beautifully fine, though, as is often the case at this season of the year, the wind from the South Pacific was rather cold. The attendance must have been a record, being put down by good judges at 16,000. There was a fine display of draught ,horses especially of young stock. The championsnip for entires was awarded to Gardiner s Cedric the Saxon, while R. Charter's Kate O'Shane was champion mare. The working horse class was good, while carriage horses were a strong section. Blood stock was poorly represented, Obligado having no opposition for sires. The driving and jumpI ing contests excited a good deal of interest, as also did the wood-chopping competition. ■„„„,. ™, • The takings amounted to £585. This does not include the grandstand.
