The champion j« a truly magnificent specimen of the Clydesdale—-a beautiful dark brown, of splendid proportions and rare quality. His sire -^ a grey, and his dam* a* chestnut, arid" yet he ds a beautiful dark brawn. There w«|re no less than eight, entries in the class1, consisting of the1 bes* horses in the Hawke's Bay district, so that it redounds, greatly "to his credit to carry off the champdionship in such company, itoe progeny is the) best recommendation ot a sire, and this should help to qeep iMr. Anderson's horse well to the front again this season.
