Wellington Wool Sales.

WELLINGTON, November 26. The first local wool sale was held today, when ou.-. bales were offered. The sales effected show an adva'nee, as compared with the last November sales, of Ijd. per pound in fine crossbreds, l^d. to l|d. in medium crossbreds. and 2d. in coarse crossbreds. The* feature of the sale was ithe comparatively high prices paid for inferior wool.
The New Zealand Loam and Mercantile Agency Company. Limited, have received the following from their London office, dated 24th November:—•
Wool.—Since tihe close of last, sales prices are about 5 per cent, lower for tine greasy crossbred, medium greasy crossbred, fine scoured crossbred, medium scoured crossbivid, crossbred slipe and lambs. Prices are *aibout 10 per cent, lower for coarse greasy crossbred. Prices are about the same for merino. Competition by both home and foreign buyers is fairly active.
