The steamers Huia and Oreti both leave for Wellington a,b 10 p.m. to-morrow. The s.s. Gairlcich is? advertised to leave this port for Raglan, Opunake, Kawhia, and Onehunga on Friday next, Bth instant, at midnight. The work of erecting a lighthouse at Kahurangi Point, between Westport and ;Farewell Spit, has been, commenced. Tlie lantern has reached the colony, and the apparatus is expected shortly. This light will be of great value to vessels trading to and from West Coast ports. The warship Sparrow arrived ait Wellington from Sydney on Saturday afternoon after making an unavailing search for the missing collier Quiraing.
