[CIVIL SITTINGS. Saturday, October 29th, 1887, Before His Honor the Chief Justice Sir James Pcendergaet.) GHANT V. INHABITANTS MANAWATU BOAD DISTBIOr. Mr Skerett, with him Mr Baker, appeared for paintiff, and defendants were represented by Mr Fitaherbert. The following jury were empanelled : — S. H. Manson (foreman), J. Brennan, H: Black, J. Wallace, J. Donovan, J. dignal, J. Murray, R. M. Henry, J. Dempsey, J. Buscoe, G. Davies, and J. Turner, Paintiff claims £650 damages, and prays that the Manawatu Boad Board may be restrained by inspeotion of tbe court from üßing certain drains and ditches, or from bringing the water carried by these ditches through plaintiff's land without providing proper means Eel- carrying the same away from the side of the land. The evidence in support of the claim was taken on Friday afternoon, anil when the court resumed ou Saturday morning further evidence was taken, the court sitting till 1 30 p.m , when it adjourned till 10 o'clock this morning.
