LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
(per united press association.) Wellington, June 26. In the Legislative Council to-day Mr Whitaker moved a resolution , in favour of the colony guaranteeing .its share of the expenses of the annexation of the New Hebrides. — Sir G. Whitmore and Mr Holmes approved of the proposal, and Dr Grace opposed it. — The debate was adjourned. — The Parliamentary Privileges Bill was read a second time. — The Council rose at 5 p.m.
