I am informed that Government -will pay! over to the Rangitikei County, in terms of an agreement already exouted, the £1000 already voted for the Wangaehu Bridge. The remaining £1500 will have to be provided . under the JEtqads and Bridges Construction Act. Mr Stevens thinks that the Wanganui Council should contribute one half of the amount to be paid by -theCounties. Mr Bryce ,obnours in that view. "'
