(by elkotbio telegraph. — oopvright. (reuter's telegrams.) (Beoeived Nov. 7, 1.30 a.m.) . MELBOURNE. November C. A sale of thoroughbred horses was held to-day at. Newmarket. There was a large attendance from all parts of Australia and New Zealand, but high prises were not realised. Darebia was sold for 1550~guineas, the highest price offered for any horse during the sale. Stockwell changed hands at 660 guineas, Bagot at 500, and Flying Jib at 300. Prometheus was withdrawn, the highest offer being 400 guineas. For Assyrian 490 guineas was bid, and for Savanaka 250, but in each case the offer was refused.
