Tuesday, 7th November. (Before E. Ward, Esq., K.M.) A FAMILY DISPUTE. Henry James Reid was charged, on information of his wife, Hannah, with having threatened her life, and she applied that he might be bound over in sureties to keep the peace. — Mr Hutchison appeared for the defendant. — The evidence was of the usual kind in cases of domestic broils, and the evidence 1 tended to show that, the parties being of different religions (the wife being a Catholic), serious disputes had existed for fifteen years past.' The wife charged the husband with threatening to stab her with a knife, a charge which he denied, and he also denied that he ; was drunk on the occasion referred to. — In the end His Worship advised the parties to separate, and dismissed the information. CIVIL OASES, Charles Bnderby v. Walker and Hattrick Mr Hodge for plaintiff; Mr Hutchison for defendants. The plaintiff's particulars of claim stated that in tho month of June, 1882, it was agreed that plaintiff should sell to defendants a stock of oaten hay at £2 10s per ton. Plaintiff delivered five tons 9cwt, but defendants refused to take any more. The plaintiff claimed £50, being. £13 12s (id, the price of the hay delivered, and £36 7s 6d damages for breach of contract to receive the rest. Defendants paid £13 12s 6d into Court. The evidence was conflicting, but His Worship gave judgment for defendants, with costs. Several other case s of an unimportant kind were disposed of, and the Court adjourned.
