Secbetary, too. tem. Franz S-horß nPHE objects of the Auckland Nativo lands JL Colonisation Company (Limited) ore tho acquisition and settlement of -Native lands in the Noith Island of New Zealand, upon terms whioU will be to tho mutual advantage o£ tho Native Owners, of the Shareholders in this Company, and of the colony in general. In order to carry out this object it is proposed — Ist. — To acquiro interests in land in such way as the nutives may prefer, either by purchase, by lease or by acting as their agents on snch terms as may bo agreed upou 2nd. — To pay for such interests acquired at the option of the native owners, either cash, paid-up shares, or debentures for the "wholo ol* any part thereof, as circnm stances and mutual advantage may dictate. 3rd.— To ollow the native owners who take up paid-np shares, interest at the r.ite of 5 per cent, upon tho amount of tho paid-up shares in excess of the amount paid up on contributing hares. 4th. — To issue to any native owner declining to take cash or paid-up shares dobentnres of stipulated amounts, bearing interest at sper cent. sth, — The capital required to carry on necessary operations ol the company to be provided by ColoUal and liuropcan shareholders, and such capital shall be employed in defraying expenses of management, completing titles, effecting surveys and snbdivisi ns into farms and township lots, opening ncins of access, conducting the sale and leasing of lands, - promoting the formation of special settleinoats, and generally in utilise g tho lands rested in the company to the best advantase. 6th.— To sot aparb and legally secure adcqnato and ioalienuble reserves for the benefit of the native owners. 7th.— To convey to the Govern aiont an agreed percentage of laud as required for public works, and other purposes, at a figure slightly iu advance of cost price. Bth.— To induce nativo owners to beoomo large shareholders, to settle x>erinanently upou lauds, tlio titles to which have been iadivid- alised, and to be represented on the directorate. It'ia a well-known fact that the profits arising from tho pui chase and s.ile of native lauds ia tho North Islaud aro enonious, and it is equally well known that such profits have up- to the present time been counted to the capitalist a'onoj be cause of the many obstructions arising from the laws relating to uative lauds, and to the large expenditure oE money requi-ed for purchasing the same. The Auckland Nativo Lands Colonisation Company (1 iniitcd) presents to small investors advantages identical with, aud iu excess of those enjoyed at present only by capitalists, the shares having been fixed so low that men of small means may be placed on the same footing as the capitalist. No more fitting opportunity than the present could be seized f- >r th-s purpose of attaining the objects aimed at by t is ouinp my, because : — lbt. — The quauti'y of Tortile Crown Lands iu the v orth Island at tbe present time available for t^ttlcmeut i> insufficient to meet thodemaud. 2nd — Tha Government havo erased operations in purchasing nativ ; lands. 3rd. — Tho nitives o-.vning lmd in tbo King country are i Imosfc uuaniino s in theil' de:ire to biing their v.ilnable lands uuder tue operations ot tho 1 and Uourt, and di-pose ot them to Kuropeiins. 4th.— lt is confideutly anticipated that the Government will favour the establishment of this Com} any, winch will fo far to rolijvo them from all anxiety about provi injy for the fntnre wants of the natives. This Company will plaeo all land oeqmrei Tinder "Tho Lands Tiansfor Act," so that tho title will be indefeasible, and it will then be able to dispose ol tbo same at great advantage. The land will bo soil for cash or en deferred pay inents, or disrosed of iu the manner most con d»civo to the interests of shareholders. Under those circumstances, it is believed that the establish Leiit of the Auckland Na'ivc Lands Colonis tio < Compiny (Limited) will provide for tho natives tho readiest and inos beneficial method of pliciug thoir lands for sale, lease, or se'tlemeut. 'Ih3 ever-iucreasing demand for lands iu Now Zealand amongst all classes of colonists aud intending emigrants from Great Britain, the rich quality if the lands in the King country, the fact that tuey ai o withm easy access by ruil from Auckland, their suitability fr-r occu pation, and their annnully-in rea-iug valne, are considerations which present to investors a proposal of remunera ion unequalled probably by any proposal ever submitted to the public. Applications for Sh. ros will bo received by tho Secretary, at his offices, Fort street, until TuESDAY, the 31st October, 1883. Auckland, September. 2oth, 1883.
