May 10. Tho dobato in tho Legislative Assembly on the Address in Jleply to tho Governor's speech closed last nitrht. The Address was agreed to without division. [n the Legislative Council, tho debate on tho Address in. Reply to the Gover« nor's speech still continues. It is stated that a match has been arranged between Trickett and Hanlon, for tho sculling championship of tho world, to come off in October next. Tho action of Sir John O'Shannessy and Messrs Gaunson and Graves, who have hitherto ranked as Ministerialists, but who are now amonrr the chief critics of tho Government, will, it is expected, influence the fate of Mr Service's licform scheme. Tho present state of political affairs is being much discussed. The sale of brandy previously reported was on account of New Zealand, Betting on the Adelaide Brithday Cup Race — 3 to 1 Savanaka ; 4 to 1 Harry.
