The present trade of the Anchor Line extends to Wellington, Wanganui, and Blenheim, with almost the entire traffic of the West Coast Mining Ports, the head quarters centreing at Nelson. Eegular communication between Wanganui and the West Coast Ports l is maintained by this line, thus giving the business community and the graziers of the VVanganui District a direct interest in the successful formation of the Company. The steamers have recently been insured in London for £12,700 at a low premium.
