June 19 — Stormbird, s.s., 07 tons, Doile, from Wel'ington. Passengers — Misa Craigheadj Mrs Stower, Mrs Cox and 2 children, Messrs Barbor, Sherwood, Cox, Peapell, and 1 in steerage. EXPECTED. Colleen Bawn, from Pelorus Sound, early, Waihopai, from Pelorus Sound, daily. Elibank Castlr, from Oamaru, daily. The St. Kilda loaded up again yesterday > and steamed down to the Heads, to bo ready . to cross the bar by this morning's tide. The, Stormbird, from Wellington, made fast to the Commercial Wharf yesterday, at 3 p.m., having left that port the previous daj', at 8 p.m.; came to off the bar at 11 a.m. She will leave again, for "Wellington at 3 p.m. • to-day. *■•••■• The Manawatu arrived at the T yesterday, at 2.40 p.m.. She left Wellington on Monday, at 7.30 p.m. ; came on under easy steam, and made the Heads at 11 a.m. Captain Harvey reports fine weather, and passing the s.s. Taupo at Terawiti, bound to Wellington, also the schooner Waihopai, off the bar. The Manawatu will leave for Wellington again to-day, at 2 p.m. The ketch "Clematis arrived at Lyttelton from Hokitika on Sunday morning. One of her crew, James Moore, while making fast a line, was washed overboard and drowned. A • Btrong H. W. gale was blowing at the time, and the vessel could not get round in timo to pick him up. The brigantine Hannah Broomfield, and schooners Marmion, Torea, and Kaiuma, left Kaipara on Thursday afternoon, and arrived in Wellington on Saturday night. They all crossed the Kaipara, bar at the same time, and 1 during the ran down had strong N. W. winds. The Torea was the first to make our harbour, but was followed very soon afterwards by the others. The brigantine Sarah Pile, for Wesrport, and schooner Clio, for Lyttelton, ' also left Kaipara on Thursday afternoon. — Post, June 18. Tho Tongariro will in a few days take her - departure from; our port for good, as n master and engineer arrived by the Manawatu yesterday to take charge of her. The engineer, Mr Milne, Is very well known in Wanganui, from Ids connection with the steamers Wallabi and Wanganui, a few years back. It is a great pity to see this handy little boat leaving our port, and we. believe she will vet be ' missed.
