NOTICES ART & INDUSTRIAL EXHIBITION, WANGANUL JN furtherance of the scheme of Educational Improvement inaugurated by the Incorporation of the Wanganui Public Library, the Directors have determined to hold, in August next, an EXHIBITION, to embrace the following departments: . ART. This Department will be under the control of competent judges, who will undertake to give the greatest care and attentiou to all pictures, oLjects of vertu, &c, entrusted to their charge. The loan of paintings, &c, will be gratefully acknowledged. INDUSTRIAL. Specimens of all industries carried on in the several districts of this coast, will be heartily welcomed. SCIENTIFIC & OTHER EXHIBITS. Owners of scientific collections of every kiud are invited to forward the same for exhibition. It is believed that a comparison will be a source of pleasure and profit to both the exhibitors and the general public. The exhibition of auy article possessing the merit of rarity or beauty is invited. The Directors appeal to the supporters of Education to second their efforts in endeavouring to make the contemplated Exhibition a success. All articles will be . suitably cared ' for and duly insured against risk from fire. The following gentlemen have kindly consented to act as Committees in the various departments : — Art Department: Messrs W. F. Russell, A. A. Sherriff, and A. Tod. Industrial Depabtment : Messrs H.
