Oct 5 TO STAND THIS SEASON, At Aird Farm, No. 2 Line, The Thorough Bred Entire, PHANTOM. PHANTOM was bred by Mr Hewitt, at Nonsuch, in Tasmania, in 1868, by Phantom; dam by Old Panic, imported rrom England by Mr Samuel Black well, of Melton Mowbray ; grand dam was bred by Mr Joseph Wright, of Oaklands, by Old Vanish, dam Eucalyptus. Phantom's grandsire was Phantom,- bred in England, and imported to Tasmania by Mr W. iLearney. Phantom was winner of the Maiden Plate at Richmond, Tasmania, in a canter. Phantom is a magnificent dappled brown horse standing 15 hands 3 inches, with admirable symmetry and power. Teems — £4 4s ; Limited to 60 Mares Note : Phantom is acknowledged by competent judges to be the most honest sire standing this season in the "Wanganui Districts. ,A l s o, The Powerful Clydesdale Entire, YOUNG LOFTY, YOUN& LOFTY is by Old Lofty, out of an imported Tasmanian mare. Young Lofty is a bright dappled bay, stands 16 hands 3 inches in height, .of immense frame, a model as regards muscular development and symmetry, and has also proved his capabilities as a sure foal getter. Terms — Single Mare, £3 3s:'ttvo or more as per agreement. Note: Young Lofty is a most worthy scion of the old stock, and is admitted to be one of the most promising Clydesdales which has been bred in the district. To Young Lofty waa awarded, in 1873, the medal offered by the Aramoho Stud Company, for the best yearling by Old Lofty, and his splendid points and. grand proportions have been universally admired by breeders of draught stock. St. Albans will leave the stables of his former owner, Donald Frazer, Lower Rangitikei, every Monday j travelling through Bulls aud Marton, remaining at Turakina the same night, returning by the same route on the following Tuesday. St Albans will also be at Sandon at noon every Friday, passing through Bulls going and coming. G-ood paddocks will be provided at the owner's farm, at a charge of Is 6d per week. All care taken of mares but no responsibility incurred. Fees to be paid to the groom in charge on or before the first of February, 1877.
