Oct. 30. The following Bilh passed through all their stages: — Otago and Wellington Tolls Bills, Wellington Corporate Lands Bill, Sartorius Downes and others claims Bills, Douglas Special Settlements, AuckBeach Road Grants Bill, Public Revenues Bill, Immigration and Public Works Appropriation Bill, and the Appropriation Bill. In Committee on the Waste Lands Administration Bill, the Hon. Dr Pollen read a telegram in reference to Broomhall's proposals as to settlement, and he introduced a clause empowering the Government to sell to Mr Broomhall 10°, 000 acres, providing that the price be not less than the price of waste lands in the district in which such lands are situated.

All the clauses in reference to Deferred Payments were struck out. The Defence Minister has decided that the next colonial prize firing shall take place at Hokitika.
