PHANTOM was bred by Mr Hewitt, at Nonsuch, in Tasmania, in 1868, by Phantom; dam by Old Panic, imported rrom England by Mr Samuel Blackwell, of Melton Mowbray ; grand dam was bred by Mr Joseph Wright, of Oaklands, by Old Vanish, dam Eucalyptus. Phantom's grandsire was Phantom, bred in England, and imported to Tasmania by Mr W. Kearney. Phantom was winner of the Maiden Plate at Richmond,.Tasmania, in a canter. Phantom is a magnificent dappled brown horse standing 15 hands 3 inches, with , admirable symmetry and power. Tebms— £4t 4s ; Limited to 60 Mares Note : Phantom is acknowledged by competent judges to be the. most honest sire standing this season in the Wanganui Districts.
