The citizens of San Francisco have form' erl a committee to enquire into the means of preventing or lessening the destruction of property by earthquakes. The bricks used in building are reported to be very defective, and it is proposed to adopt a method of bracing buildings with irons. This proposal ought to have these serious consideration of the people of these districts.
