Melbourne. —Telegraph dates are to the 14th April:—Breadstuffs are easier; a few sales of Victorian flour have taken place ; 2000 bushels of Tasmanian wheat sold at 5s 3d; New Zealand oats, 3s lOd to 4s. Maize is scarce at ss. Cornsacks, 11s 9d in bond. There have been large speculations in kerosine, and large arrivals are reported from New York at Sydney; 3000 cases were quitted at 2s 2d. American hops are Is 2H. Java rice, at auction, realised £lB. Burk’s stout, 10s. Sugars are very steady, and a further advance is expected. The Victoria Sugar Company has raised the price. 20s all round. Business generally has been brisk. Adelaide. —Dates by telegraph are to the 13th April, and report the cargo of sugar, ex Edmund Wolfram was submitted to auction; 2500 bags were sold at the following rates : White crystals, £4l to £43*2s6d; fine . light brewing, £37; fine brewing crystals, £34 17s 6d to £35 10s; low crystals, £33; yellow, £34 12s 6d; rations, £25 to £26 17s 6d. The corn market, is dull; wheat, nominal, 5s 4d ; there is no demand for wheat for export. Flour is nominally unchanged, but for a parcel lower prices would bo accepted.
