Wellington, 21st Dec.. .1803. fTtHE Rations for Prisoners published on 1. the 17th inst. in the advertisement calling for Tenders for the same, being inconsistent with the Dietary Scale established by Order in Council under the hand of His Excellency the Governor,'dated the 31st May 1859, the following advertisement is now substituted for it, and all Tenders must be in strict conformity therewith. TENDERS will be received by the Bench of Magistrates, Wanganui (acting in this matter by request of Ids Honor the Superintendent), until the 7th January, 1864, at noon, for the following Supplies to the Gaol for the Year commencing Ist January 1864. RATIONS. No. 1, —1 lb fresh meat. 1 lb potatoes, 1 lb bread, £oz tea, \oz salt, and 2oz sugar. No. 2, —| lb bread, £ lb potatoes, £ lb fresh meat, 4 oz soap, £ oz salt No. 3, —1£ lb breath CLOTHING, &c. Red Serge Shirts, at per doz. Blue Guernsey do ~ Scotch Twill do ~ Moleskin Trowsers, lined, at per pair Woolien Caps, at per doz Mattress Cases, each Blankets, 9-4, at per pair Rugs, each Boots, at per pair Firewood, at per cord Oi 1 , at per gallon Lamp Wick, at per lb Ten tiers to be addressed (under seal) to the Bench of Magistrates, Wanganui, and to be left at the Office of the Provincial Sub-Treasurer, endorsed “ Tender for Gaol Supplies.” J.
