TENDERS will be received at this office, Until 1 2 Noon of Monday, 28th inst. from persons willing to contract for furnishing the undermentioned Commissariat Supplies, to be delivered at the Rutland Stockade daily, in such quantities and at such times as may be directed, or at any other place and time within the limits of the town of Wanganui that may be appointed by the Commissariat Officer in charge during, the Twelve Calendar Months commencing the Ist April next. Provisions, Fuel and Light. Fresh meat Bread ) at Mould Candles V per Composite do of \ pound. . English manufacture Groceries at per Ration, viz.: £ oz. tea i „ salt J „ coffee roasted and ground 2 ~ sugar 1-36 „ pepper ground Forage for Horses at per Ration viz.: 12 lbs hay, 4 lbs straw, 8 lbs oats or maize, 4 lbs bran. Land Transport. Cartage within the iimits of the town, at per Load of Half a ton, weight or measurement. Contractors will be required to provide such assistance in leading and unloading as is usually given by Carters, and also such number of carts as may be demauded, failing which the power of hiring on aeconnt of the Contractor will rest with the Commissariat. Articles lost or damaged when in possession of the Contractor to be paid for by him. No Tenders will be accepted unless upon the Printed form furnished Office, and duly signed by the Contractor and two Sureties.
