Militia Militia and Volunteer Office, Nov. 25, 1863. fffiHE following Companies of Militia and Jl Volunteers will Parade, for the Inspection of the Officer Commanding the Troops, at Ty lee’s Flat, on Monday, the 7th' December, 1863* at 2 o’clock p.m. No men to be absent. Captain Durie’s Company, Captain Porter’s ~ Captain Roberts’ „ Captain Allison’s „ 13y order, A. ROSS, Captain and Adjutant. Militia and. Volunteer Office, Wanganui, Nov. 12th, 1863. 1. IT is notified, for general information that the Volunteer Troops and Companies are to attend the Training and Exercise at the times and places appointed for the Militia, andf that they will receive the same rates of pay and allowances as are directed to be issued to that Force. 2. With a view to suit the convenience of the Settlers, Officers commanding Troops and Companies are at liberty to recommend for leave of absence at the Parades for Training and Exercise so oi'dered one-half oi the non-commissioned officers and men under their command, but every man absenting himself without such leave will have the indulgence of absence with leave withdrawn. Dr. Gibson and Dr. Curl will send in a report of the number of Militiamen in their respective districts who are medically unfit to serve, a List of which will be published in the Wanganui Chroniccle. 3. All Volunteers residing in the 1,2, 3, and 4 Sub-districts will Parade during the current quarter at the Times and Places as under. NO. 1 SUB-DISTRICT. Marketplace, H anganui; West mere Farm, Grange Farm. 2 o’clock p.m. 16 November, 1863.

NO. 2 SUB-DISTRICT. Marangai and Roberts’. 2 o’clock p.m. 17 November, 1863. NO. 3 SUB-DISTRICT. Buckthought’s and Paterson’s. 4. In consequence of instructions from the Deputy Adjutant General of Militia and Volunteers Order No. 2, of the 9th November, 1863, is hereby cancelled. By command, ALFRED ROSS, Capt. and Adjt.

Wanganui, Nor. 19, 1563. STAFF Sergeant Slmw and Staff Corporal Adamson will hold a Class for the Instruction of Officers of No. 1 SubDistrict every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, commencing on Monday next, the 23rd inst., at Davidson's Steampaeket Hotel, from 7 to 9 p.m., at which the undermentioned Officers are requested to attend, Lieut. 11. L. Peake, ~ A.. Wieksteed, Ensign W. Powell, ~ W. Finnimore. ~ J. D. Hevvctt. A weekly report of the attendance of each Officer in compliance with the above mentioned request will be submitted for the information of the Commanding Officer of the District (to be forwarded to Headquarters) by Captain and Adjutant Ross, who will be present when practicable. For this duty these Non-Commissioned Officers will receive extra pay. Staff Sergeant-major Wilson, Cavalry Dri’l Instructor, will hold a Class for the instruction of Cavalry Officers every' Tuesday and Thursday, at the same hour and place.
