IT having been intimated to me that per ; sons have entered into arrangements for the : purchase of land orders issued to Naval- and ;Military ‘ settlers under the “WasteLamls Act 1858,” arid the •* Naval and Military Settlers Act 1860,” I hereby give notice that’such -land orders are not transferable, and that no transfers or dealings, of whatever description, will be recognized by the Government. I also give notice to Naval and Military Settlers, 5 to whom land orders have been issued, that they- will be required, before the issne of the Crown ; Grants for the land selected by them, to prove, to the satisfaction of the Commissioner of Crown Lands, that they have resided in' the Province of Wellington four out of the five years required by the Act of 1858.
