KRULL & Co, to sell b}Public Auction, at their Stock Yard, Manners Street, on Wednesday, tho 27th May at Two o’eloek. 14 Imported Pure Bred RAMS. 15 do do EWES. Selected from the flock. of Baron von Steinberg, in MeetzeeiViu Mecklenburg. f Each buyer will receive a pedigree, attesting the purity of the breed of these animals, which has been certified to by Iler Brittanjc Majesty’s Consul at Hamburg/ W. Waddilove, Esq. This consignment is part of the progeny of a flock of selected Sheep, imported into Germany by Prince Jerome Napoleon, then King of Westphalia, from the Celebrated Farm of Rambouillet, and which were at the .downfall of the first French, empire, acquired, by the father of the Baron von Steinberg. The purity of the breed has been sustained by judi, cions importations from Rambouillet, au.l isdistinguishedby largeness of carcass, length, and fineness of wool, admirably suited for combing purposes. The weight of fleece is very considerable. Animals from this flock have frequently carried off fust class prizes at Cattle Shows in France and Germany, and it is a well attested fact that the young rams are in great demand by the owners of Saxony flocks, to keep up the breed of their sheep. The Auctioners have every confidence in recommend! ig this importation .to the notice of Flock Piasters in New Zealand as they have been particularly selected 1 fi r their hardiness and adaptability to a changeable climate, and, not being like most imported sheep stable bred, they will be found well able to stand rough weather and easily acclimatised. Not the least of their recommendation is the ease with which they are maintained in., condition on the most indifferent pastures, so that as a most profitable investment they will be found unequalled. .
