Tins valuable draft of sheep are all the progeny of Three Pure Bred Ewes, No. 79, and two others, imported by- Robert Beauchamp, Esq, who purchased them, l’egardless of expence, from Carl August Gadegast, Oscbntz,.Saxony, on the 11th June, 1853. ■ ' The six and eight tooth Ewes, and six tooth Rams were got : by Rata No. imported by Robert Beauchamp, bred by Carl August Gadegast; 'The two and four tooth Ewes, and two tooth Rams were got by ram No. 114, imported from Mecklenburgh by Archdeacon Hadfield, for the Otaki Institution ex “ Constance,” from London. The Ewe and Rain Lambs were got by Ram No.' 109, bred by J F. Hoffscblaeger, Mecklenburgh, imported in the “ Hermine,” by Messrs. Krull & Co. The Rams have never been used. The Ewes are all in Lamb by Rani No. IQ9, imported by Krull & Co. Ewe No. 79 cost £56, Ram No. 129 cost £IOO. | Rain No. 114 was purchased in Prussia. ! ' Do. No. 109 cost £BB. I The Sheep to be offered for sale are all in : excellent order and condition, have never been diseased, and are thoroughly acclimatised. In proof of the excellence of their constitution it may be mentioned that Ewe No. 79 had a full mouth when she was’purcliased on the 12tli June, 1855 but is alive and well, and has reared twin Lambs nearly every year. .
