Wanganui February 26. —Wheat 5s 6d to 6s barley 6s, 6d oats 6s, maize 6s per bushel, flour, £lB per 2000 lbs, potatoes£4per ton, bread—4 lb. ‘loaf Is, butter wholesale Is 4d retail Is 6d. per lb, bacon, wholesale 8d per lb. Auckland Feb. 14. —Mr. Alfred Buckland reports that his sales have been fairly supplied with fat,cattle of medium quality but that prime animals are scarce. Prices have however advanced during the present month 40s. per head. Store Cattle—Although the drought is severe, are offering but in limited numbers and their price is well sustained. There is a continuous demand for quiet heifers for the out stations in excess of those offering. Prime Dairy Cows— Are are in demand at high prices; realizing from £l6 to £IS each. Working Cattle:—Not in request. The market has been fully supplied with fat sheep; but prices have not fallen. Half bred wethers bringing from 355. to 40s. each; ewes, 265. to 365. each; Leicester Lambs, 245. to 28. ; Half bred lambs, 18s. to 21s. Store Sheep —Are in demand, and sell freely ; there many offering. Half bred wethers bring from 18s. to 255. each; ewes 16s. to 20. ; lambs, 14s. to 18s.; Merino Wethers, 18s. 21s. each. Horse Stock purchases are confined to absolute requirement.
