Fresh meat Bread Mould Candles Composite do of English manufacture Groceries at per Ration, viz.: £ oz. tea | „ salt 1. • „ coffee roasted and ground -2},, sugar 1-36 ,-, pepper ground Forage for Horses at per Ration viz.: 12 lbs hay, 4 lbs straw, 8 lbs oats or maize, 4 lbs bran. Cartage within the limits of the town, at per load. Bullock waggons') each Ox or horse carts^ Half a ton, weight or measurement, to be con-idered a load for a one-hor3e cart, and one ton for a bullock waggon. Contractors will be required to provide such assistance in loading and unloading as is usually given by carters, and such number of carts as may be demanded; failing which the power of hiring on account of the contractor will rest with the Commissariat. Articles lost or damaged when in possession of the contractor to be paid for by him. Washing & Repairing Bedding, Barrack and Hospital. A List of the Articles and full particulars may be obtained on application to the Barrack Office and Hospital. Sweeping Chimneys, each. Emptying Cesspools, each. Sound Wheaten or Oaten Straw rrfor Bedding, at per 100 lbs. No Tender will be accepted unless upon the printed form furnished from this office, and duly signed by the Contractor and two Sureties. The accounts of the Contractors for the supplies to the Barrack and Purveyor’s Departments will not be paid until they have been sent to Head Quarters, for the examination and signature of the heads of those Departments, as required by the War Office Regulations.
