Wanganui. THE THOROUGH BRED HORSE St. Patrick. THIS Splendid Horse was bred by C. Roberts, Esq., of Wallgrove, Sydney, by jEther ; out. of Alice Hawthorne, by Operator; Grand ? dam Loriua; vide Stud Book, pages 63 and 126. He is a Chesnut, clear of white, stands 16 hands 1 inch. Started nine times, and won ,six. His Stock is very large, shewing blood, and great muscular power, likely to be very fast and lasting. Terms £5 each Mare . Season commences at this date. Also, THAT SPLENDID CART HORSE England’s Hope. THIS Horse was bred by Walter Lon g, Esq*, M.P„ of Rood Ashton, Wilts; was got by his Celebrated Suffolk Punch Horse, “HERO,” out of a Clydesdale Mare. Hero took the first Prize in June, 1853, at the Bath and West of England Show; he again took the first Prize at Exeter, same year. ; ENGLAND’S HOPE is a Dapple Grey, 17 hands high, 9 yrs old; has great power and good temper, and is the only pure-bred Draught Entire in the Province. He was imj ported into Wellington from England, by Mr. E. R. Jones in 1859. Terms £5 ss. each Mare, Without guarantee. “ 7 7s. do., With guarantee, The Season will commence Ist October, 1862. If two Mares are sent, one to each Horse, an allowance will be made. There are good Paddocks at 2s. per week, and every care will be taken of the Mares, but no responsibility incurred. ALSO, Two Ponies by Cupid, four years old, Bay with black points, the one- out of a Timer Pony, and the other out of “ Beeswing” better known as the late Dr. Best’s famous trotter. Sept 11, 1862.; ENTIRE HORSE Hector WILL serve at Cherry Bank this Season, to commence Ist October, and to end Ist February. “Hector” is a remarkably fine Cleveland Horse, 13 years old, 17 hands high, and of extraordinary bone. Bred by Messrs. Deans of Canterbury, and got by an imported New South Wales horse. His stock will show with any cart stock in the colony; is a sure foal getter. Terms— £3, payable Ist February, for each Mare; an allowance if more than one. No charge for paddocks, and a reduction will be made for parties not requiring the Use of them.. Every care taken of Mares and Foals, but no responsibility. Parties can also have the use of that splendid “ Farmer,” quired, on the same terms as “ Hector.” October 1, 1862.
