Orders left with Mr. TI.-Anderson, at the Lion Inn, Wanganui, will be punctually attended to. Turakina, June 19, 1862* An Appeal TO THE BENEVOLENT. ,r gnHE sympathy of the Public is invited | on behalf of STEVEN ADAMSON, the Boy. who unfortunately lost his right Arm a few weeks since by a Thrashing Machine. The fact of his Father being Paralytic, with a young family, renders this appeal the more urgent. It is in contemplation to place him at a School, where lie tuition he receives may fit him for the situation of a Book keeper. Subscriptions will be received at the Bank of New. South Wales here; at Messrs. Taylor Watt & Co.’s Store, and also at the Chronicle Office. It is fervently hoped this Appeal will not be in vain. When the Subscription is closed, a meeting of the subscribers will be held to decide on the manner in which the money should be applied, /Fanganui, June 12, 1562.
