IN pursuance of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled “ The Regulation of Elections Act, 1858,” I, David Stark Durie, Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Wanganui and Rangitikei do hereby give Notice that by virtue of a writ, bearing date the Second day of February, 1.861, issued under the band of Ilis Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an Election will be held for the return of four (4) qualified persons to serve as Members of the Provincial Council,for the said Electoral District, and that the nomination of Candidates will take place at the Court House, Wanganui, on Friday, the 15th March, 1861, at noon, and that the Poll (if necessary) will be taken on Wednesday, the 18th day of March, 1861.
