Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Wanganui, do hereby give A r otice, that by virtue of a /Unt bearing date the third day of January, 1861, issued under the hand of his Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, an Election will be held for the return of a Qualified Person to serve as a Member of the House of Representatives for the said Electoral District, and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Court Home, on Friday, the Ist day of February, 1861, at Noon ; and that the Poll (if necessary') will be taken on Saturday, the 2nd day of February, 1861.
