Wanganui Races.— The .following horses were entered for the Produce Stakes on the 29th ult. ■ Capt. Blewett’s b.g. Phantom, 6 yrs. Mr. Deighton’s b.g. -Swinger, 4 yrs. Mr. W. S. /Jussell’s b.m. Wild Rose, 4 yrs Mr. Imlay’s b.g. Pedestrian, aged. Mr. Nixon’s b.m. Cachucha, 5 yrs.

Next morning Mr. Russell was timing bis mare on the old racecourse, and one trial bad shown that she would have stood a good chance to win—having run the distance in 40 seconds less time than any previous winner—when she fell and broke her neck. We believe those who wish to enter horses for the other races will have an opportunity of doing so on the evening of Monday the lOtli inst., at .the Commercial Hotel. ;
