. ,7 CONDITIONS. 1.-r-rTFie Firewood to be exclusively of Manuka,<,Rata; Tawhalii, Te Toke, Matapo, faua, Maire, to be well seasoned,! spljt, and .eat-in lengths of four feet; and the j Contractor must provide labour to weigh th e wood and deliver it before 2 p. m. 2—r The. Contractor must have constantly on hand in Wanganui, a stock sufficient for one month’s consumption, from which alone the issues are to be made; this stock is to be stacked in spine convenient yard or spot in the town, to be always subject to the inspection of the commissariat ; and all wood objected to at such inspection must be immediately replaced. 3. —No wood will be allowed to be sold'to private individuals from the stock alluded to in article 2, or out; of the yard or place where it may be, deposited. 4. —-Each,tender sent in, in. consequence : of this advertisement, to be accompanied by a statement by two competent persons witling jto .begorae securities for its due performance ;'if accepted, the penalty of the Bond will be, equal to the estimated amount of three months’ supply, and it is to be distinctly understood,:,"that the' sureties will be held strictly responsible for the fulfilment of the Contractor’s engagements; and failure in
which will* be .immediately followed, by the enforcement of the penalty of the bond. - 5.-—ln the event of any difference of opinion as to the quality of the Firewood/ it is. to be. decked by a board of officers, to be appointed by the Officer Commanding the Troops, for the time being, and should the award bead verse to the Contractor, he must immediately furnish wood' of a satisfactory description /or elsd the Commissariat will cause purchase to be made, and charge the expense against the Contractor. - ■ : 6.-—Jt/j shall bp in the power ,of either party todimit the djuration, of the Contract, by giving a- JVptice in writing of thr t ee Calendar Months % v fche., opposite, party. aS'ucli Notice only to. be-igiven from the first day of a month, and within-the period for which thp.
